Please read the following important information regarding COVID-19 Coronavirus

The Centre is working to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff is maintained. We want to address the growing fears around the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and share with you the information we have at the current time.

We are working to ensure our centre remains a safe place to visit and work. The health and safety of our community is our main priority, we always uphold a high standard of hygiene within the centre, however are taking extra precautions during this time.

We hope you will do what you can to take care of yourself and those around you, we also encourage you to use and support our community facility with confidence while it is safe to do so.

Remember if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of the flu, cough or cold to please remain away from the centre until you are feeling 100%.

Update - 25/01/2022

GREAT NEWS!

Following the State Government announcement from Saturday 26th February masks are no longer required in our venue. YAY!

It is encouraged that masks be worn when physical distance cannot be maintained.

Update - 23/11/2021

From 11:59pm on Thursday 23 December, 2021, masks will be required for all indoor settings (except for the home) for anybody aged 8 years of age or older, except for during exercise, or eating / drinking.
This mandate extends to all patrons of Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Keilor East Leisure Centre.

Update - 18/11/2021

Re-Opening Stage D As we reach a new state vaccination milestone, further restrictions will ease from tomorrow, Friday 19 November🎉

As part of the State Government restriction changes proof of vaccination must be shown for all visitors aged 12 years & 2 months or older. Click here for how to provide proof of vaccination.

Masks are no longer mandatory in our venue. However, we ask you to please carry a mask and wear it when you cannot physically distance.

No Jab? No Worries – while we wait for restrictions to ease further, memberships can be placed on free suspension for those who may not be able to or wish to not return to our venue at this time.

Update - 27/10/2021

Classes, Swimming Lessons, the Gym, the Pool – it’s all back starting Saturday 30th October! HOORAY! 🎉
 
Further restriction easing as part of the VIC Government Roadmap means you will be able to access our venue as per normal, while following the public health orders.
 
All patrons MUST provide proof of double vaccination upon entry and follow the current public health orders.
 
This is subject to change in line with revisions from the state government.

Current Public Health Orders
 
  • We are operating following density limits of 4sqm indoors
  • All patrons MUST provide proof of full vaccination (2 doses) upon entry and follow the current public health orders. Click here for how.
  • Masks are mandatory indoors
  • You must check-in via the Services VIC app upon entry.
 
Access to our Venue

All the following activities will be re-commencing from Saturday 30th October:
 
  • Swimming Lessons.
  • Pool access will be open for lap and recreational swimming– no bookings required.
  • The Spa, Steam Room* and Saunas will be available– no bookings required however density quotients must be adhered to
  • All changerooms will be open for use – we ask you to please follow social distancing rules and wear a mask.
  • Our Gym will be open– no bookings required.
  • Our Group Fitness Classes will start. We will be following the 4sqm rule in our group fitness rooms. Click here to see the timetable.
*Note – the steam room is currently undergoing some remedial works and may be unavailable for a few days upon re-opening
 
Memberships and Passes

Following the latest State Government directive, lockdown restrictions remain in place for VIC, meaning we will remain closed until further Government direction. 

This closure period is in line with the extended lockdown revisions from the State Government. 

We are disappointed by the news, however we all need to work together to help protect our community and stop the spread. We are counting down the days until we can see you again!

Update - 24/06/2021

Great news! We are back to normal!

As per State Government directive, we will be returning normal capacity from Friday 25-June.

Bookings will no longer be required when visiting our facility.

We will continue to follow density limits in accordance with Government directives, however at this stage you do not need to book to visit the centre.
 

YOUR MEMBERSHIPS AND PASSES

All memberships will be reactivated on Friday 25 June 2021 unless you choose to remain on free suspension.

SPA, STEAM & SAUNA

The spa, steam & sauna facilities will reopen on Friday 25 June 2021 and be available for members only. Members wanting to use the spa, steam & sauna facilities must collect a wristband from reception upon entry.

Due to density limits in accordance with Government directives, only 3 people will be permitted in the steam room and saunas and 7 people in the spa.

Your cooperation and patience while using the spa, steam and sauna facilities is greatly appreciated.



OPENING HOURS

The Centre’s Opening Hours will be as follows;

Monday – Friday 5.30am to 9.00pm
Saturday 6.00am to 6.00pm
Sunday 8.00am – 6.00pm



CRECHE

The Creche will reopen on Monday 28 June 2021. The creche opening hours will be as follows;

Monday – Friday 9.00am – 12.00pm

Creche bookings can be made by calling the centre on 9375 3411.



HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Our health club and group fitness classes are back with increased capacity from Friday 25 June – this means bookings are not required. Please visit our website to view a copy of the group fitness timetable
  • Pool access will be back to normal from Friday 25 June – bookings are not required
  • Spa, steam and Sauna will reopen on Friday 25 June for members only.  Density limits will apply.
  • Learn to swim will recommence on Friday 25 June.
  • Our creche will reopen from Monday 28 June.
  • QR check-in is mandatory         
  • Mask must be worn except when participating in strenuous exercise that causes you to be out of breath or where an exemption applies

EXTENDED Circuit Breaker Lockdown

As per State Government directive, the current restrictions will remain in place for a further seven days. We will be closed until 5am Friday 11 June.

This period is subject to change in line with the extended circuit breaker lockdown revisions from the State Government.  

Due to this temporary closure, the following will continue:  

 

Your Membership    

  • Your membership will be placed on a free suspension for the further 7-day closure period. 

  • All future bookings you have made (for the closure period) will be cancelled.   

  • We will contact you once the advised temporary closure period concludes, or as directed by the Government.    

  • We will be giving you FREE access to the Home Fitness Network during the closure period, please check your email for how to claim your access. 

 

What does the EXTENDED circuit breaker lockdown mean? 

You are required to stay home and within 10km of your home, with five exceptions: 

  • Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies 

  • Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable 

  • Exercise within your neighbourhood, with your household members, your intimate partner, or one other person who is not from your household or your partner for up to two hours per day 

  • Authorised work or study 

  • To get your COVID-19 vaccination

Update - 07/07/2020 4pm

IMPORTANT MEMBER UPDATE 

As per this afternoon’s State Government announcement, Premier Daniel Andrews has confirmed that Victoria will be increasing its COVID-19 restrictions, with Stage 3 “stay at home” restrictions reinstated across metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire from  11:59pm  on  Wednesday 8th  July, this means that our Centre will be temporarily closing for 6 weeks or until directed by the State Government.  

 

There are only four reasons you can leave home:   

  1. To shop for food and essential goods and services. 

  1. For care or compassionate reasons (for example, this includes shared parenting obligations or providing care and support to an unwell, disabled, elderly or pregnant friend or relative).   

  1. Exercise - outdoors only, limited to your family or one other person. Personal Training will be allowed. If you are interested in engaging in any of these sessions, please get in contact with us.  

  1. For work or study – if you can’t do it from home

What are we doing to minimise health risks in-Centre?

The Centre will be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits and will make hand sanitiser available for staff and patrons to use while using the Centre.

If I have or am undergoing a period of self-isolation, what happens to my membership?

If you are showing symptoms or have been recommended by a Health Professional to self isolate, you should be staying at home and minimising contact with others.  Please contact the Centre team to discuss managing your membership where you are uncertain of your options.
 

What happens to Swim School or Personal Training sessions I have booked?

If you have any Swim School lessons or Personal Training booked, please contact the Aquatics team or your Personal Trainer.
